The core parts of your role would be to:
Ensure compliance with the company’s established policies and procedures with recommendations submitted for approval to management based on approved delegated authority.Review, approve or recommend commercial credit facilities (i.e. mortgage renewals, annual reviews, assumptions, etc.) ensuring the credit request falls within the Company’s lending and regulatory requirements and within the Bank’s risk appetite.Develop, implement, and maintain production and service metrics to measure and support best-in-class turnaround times on completion of underwriting assignments to support the Bank’s goal of providing a superior customer experience and target the retention objective of BES maturitiesContinuously identify and implement improvements to processes to increase department efficiencies, improve customer service levels and ensure ongoing compliance with risk and regulatory requirements.Provide support, guidance, and ongoing training to Managers and staff, identifying their specific needs and devising plans to ensure all staff are adequately trained.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Commercial team colleagues as well as our broker partners to provide optimal service to our clients.Lead standing team meetings to ensure pipeline work flow production and service metrics are met within prescribed timelines.Oversee ongoing, timely completion of regular reporting for senior levels of management, including but not limited to: Maturity Reporting, Annual Review Reporting, Commercial Dashboard, KPI/KRI reporting, etc.Motivate and support the professional growth of the team, to work collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.Provide overflow support to BEC Credit by way of taking on new business underwriting assignments.Assist in department projects or company initiatives, where needed.Let’s Talk About You
