Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Cambridge with travel required to various locations in Southern Ontario.
Hours: Monday to Friday :am-:pm
Salary: Base salary + Travel allowance
Reporting to the Director of HR, the Health and Safety Manager's responsibility is to assess and audit health and safety initiatives as well as train employees on Health and Safety at our + facilities. This role does require traveling on a regular basis.
Role & Responsibilities:
Driving to various locations JHSC Committee development and maintenanceJHSC and First Aid training Monthly facility, first aid, and fire extinguisher logs for all locations WSIB Compliance – Filings, Return to Work, and Modified Duties Responsible for managing and communicating with stakeholders regarding health & safety and WSIB concerns Respond to emergency situations and facilitate incident/accident investigations as well as complete any necessary paperwork Company-wide COVID- policies and procedures OH&S board maintenance at all locations Quarterly meeting minutes Binder creation and maintenance of H&S documentation First aid supply ordering and maintenance of inventory Yearly H&S policy and procedure updates Fire system and plans Equipment maintenance schedules Daily appointment and cleaning log compiling and recording Other responsibilities as required or requested
Qualifications & Skills:
University Degree, College Diploma or Certifications in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience years of experience applying Health & Safety legislation and regulations Certified member of JHSC will be considered an asset Valid G Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record High School Diploma or equivalent High level of professionalism and ability to prioritize tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills Positive attitude Willingness to travel to various locations CPR training and WSIB experience is an asset.So why work for us?
