Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
Required
2 year community college or undergraduate degree Current registered or eligible with Sonography Canada and ARDMS Member in good standing with Canadian Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of CSDMS and ARDMS Current technical experience with certification in cardiac ultrasound Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff Demonstrated ability in the following competencies: initiative/self management, problem solving and accountability Able to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions Able to maintain confidentiality Able to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team Positive advocate for professional body of Echocardiography and Electrodiagnostic Services Advanced Computer Skills Ability to work all shifts, including weekends; ability for call and multi-site coverage when required Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudesPreferred
