SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Mammoet is currently looking for an energetic individual to join our Edmonton branch as a heavy-duty transport mechanic. This position requires a candidate with an excellent work ethic, ability to travel, and willingness to learn new things in a safe and efficient manner.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Able to diagnose and/or determine technical problems Able to perform regular maintenance and inspections of all equipment within the department Must document all repairs and parts replacement for equipment files Mentor apprentices Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed Carry out all work in accordance with Mammoet HSE/SHE-Q and business policies and procedures, including the use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Other duties as assigned by EMD supervision
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Experience

Must have sufficient training and experience in repairing of major brands of domestic tractors & trailers in Mammoet’s fleet. Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Vehicle Inspection license Must be familiar with manufacturer diagnostic software an asset, willing to train Familiarity with Schuerle InterCombi / K25 trailers and SPMT an asset, willing to train

Education

Journeyman trade certificate (Red Seal preferred) Apprentices’ 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Minimum of 5 years work experience

Languages

Proficient in English, written and spoken

About our region

This will be a full-time position operating out of our Edmonton, AB location on a full-time basis.
