Job Summary

The position will assist Dr. Trott, Assistant Professor, Department of Kinesiology, with research studies and day-to-day laboratory tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with all aspects of laboratory duties including, but not limited to:  General inventory of supplies. Mouse husbandry and colony maintenance Design and conduct of quantitative PCR assays. Data collection and analysis. Maintenance of research records. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Kinesiology, Bioengineering or a related science field or the equivalent experience. Research experience in a wet lab environment. Preferred Qualifications Research experience in Kinesiology Experience in quantitative PCR assays. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General knowledge and experience with cardiovascular and metabolism research. Other Requirements UTA blood borne pathogen and biosafety level II training and certification.  All relevant AALAC and UTA IACUC trainings.
