We are looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our team. Turn challenges into sustainable solutions. 

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with performing analysis of complex structures Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes, and prepare engineering reports and other technical documents Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents Conduct site inspections from time to time and perform other functions as required Plan, evaluate, and adapt work using independent judgment and innovative problem-solving approaches, seeking technical guidance and supervisory approval for complex or unusual problems and project plans

On top of that, you will: 

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or higher (Master’s degree preferred), with a minimum of 4 years of related experience in Bridge Design, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Be a registered Professional Engineer in home province or state, or ability to obtain registrations in Nova Scotia within 12 months of employment Possess a Class 5 driver’s license Be familiar with the use of structural design codes such as CSA-S6, CSCE, and AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: CSiBridge, MIDAS, SOFiSTiK) Be conversant in the use of engineering software, such as Mathcad, to efficiently produce engineering calculations Be knowledgeable in parametric conceptual designs, the use of programming environments like Dynamo and Grasshopper (preferred) Hold experience and knowledge of suspension bridges through site, inspection, analysis, or design experience (preferred) Ideally have the experience and ability to prepare proposals and participate in business development
