Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Medical Radiation Technologist works as a member of the inter-professional health care team providing their professional expertise to internal/external customers and providing excellent patient care by following the guidelines and standards established by the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

Qualifications

•Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Nuclear Medicine from an accredited educational institution
•CMRTO mandatory, MRT(N)
•OAMRS highly recommended
•SPECT CT experience required
•Safety awareness, including CNSC regulations and radiation safety
•Excellent interpersonal, decision making, communication, organizational and time management skills
•Must be flexible and possess the ability to work effectively and efficiently within an inter-professional healthcare team
•Solid leadership skills amongst their peers
•Ability to train and orient other MRTs & MRT students
•Analysis / problem assessment
•Innovative and willing to learn
•Commitment to customer service

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department. Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) from the Ontario Ministry of Health website or other authorized source directly to the Occupational Health and Safety department. In the event that you are unable to be vaccinated as a result of a ground protected under the Human Rights Code, you may submit a written explanation of the ground and any supporting documentation to determine if you are exempt from this requirement to the recruitment team.
