Reporting to the Manager ‑ Labour/Delivery, Maternal Newbornand Maternity Centre, the Clerk II for the Maternity

Centre will be the first contact for all prenatal and postpartumpatients attending the Centre for appointments. The

Clerk II will monitor the office operations of the MaternityCentre including, filing, scheduling, maintaining patient

records, maintaining accurate statistical records, and orderingand stocking of office supplies. He/She will also

provide administrative assistance to obstetrical care providers, coordinatorand the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

* Secondary School graduation diploma required

* Certification in, or demonstrated Medical terminologyproficiency

* Administrative and computer skills to include spreadsheets,word processing and data base applications (MS

Word, Excel, Publisher, Groupwise & Goldmine)

* Knowledge of Meditech and Purkinje required

* Experience generating technical reports from multiple databases

‑ Demonstrated computer and keyboarding skills – 55wpm

* Medical Administrative Assistant certification or equivalencyan asset

* Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills

* Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written,keyboard, telephone)

* Positive attitude and collaborative approach tomultidisciplinary colleagues

* Knowledge and understanding of different models of caredelivery

* Highly motivated and organized individual with the ability toprioritize activities independently

* Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systemsand potential process flow improvements

Specialized training in N Compass through Ontario TelehealthNetwork; knowledge of telehealth equipment and

facilitating broadcasts to the region

Salary Range: $25.528 to 26.178
