What You’ll Do

The Digital Marketing Advisor is a key role in the advancement of Canadian Tire Corporation’s “One Company” approach, with accountability for Sport Chek’s digital performance programs. This role will be responsible for digital demand generation and delivering eCommerce growth, with a view to impact on bricks and mortar sales. If you’re looking to put your mark on the transformation of retail in Canada this is the role for you.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Advisor will work cross functionally with the marketing team to plan and execute digital marketing activities to meet the businesses goals while supporting an omni-channel brand experience. You will drive digital performance in support of company growth objectives through SEM, Display, Social, Affiliates, etc. Other responsibilities may include:

Lead in the planning, execution and optimization of various digital marketing campaigns and initiatives including but not limited to paid search (SEM), display and social media advertising Liaising with our in-house digital operations team as well as other key vendors such as Google, Meta, etc. Work closely with internal teams or external partners to draft Digital Marketing strategies Report on Digital Marketing channel metrics using various analytics reporting tools, including Google Analytics, Google Data Studio and Supermetrics Analyzing data across all digital performance marketing channels Participate in campaign performance monitoring, optimization, and support campaign deployment from inception to maintenance Identify key digital marketing and advertising opportunities through reporting and analysis, as well as partnership development Monitor industry trends and share the latest digital insights & advances in digital marketing with the team

What You Bring

2-3 years experience in digital marketing and/or e-commerce is preferred Superior verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and priorities Ability to want to continuously learn Retail experience would be an asset Previous ad trafficking experience and knowledge of advertising KPIs would be an asset Proficiency using marketing technology (i.e. Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, etc) A great attention to detail and accuracy Post-secondary education or related experience in Marketing, Business or Finance. Agency background or in-house experience in digital marketing or eCommerce environment is an asset. Creativity and courageous, with the ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity to help us take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving retail environment  Action oriented and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business  Outcome focused, critical thinkers with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business  Collaborative team players with superior influencing skills, who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward Inclusive leaders who build and develop teams that effectively anticipate and respond to disruption, while consistently delivering strong performance
