Responsible for providing overall mechanical support to the production group in the areas of packaging as well as processing and facilities to ensure continuous operations.

Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving Experience with drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop tools Setup, takedown, and relocation of Bakery and Packaging equipment Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections Provide solution to routine or unique equipment problems Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer oriented manner Equipment PM (Preventive Maintenance) – responsible for maintaining equipment in safe working condition, lubricating necessary parts, changing worn out or damaged parts Equipment (Production) – helps production setup the equipment on the line and troubleshoot/repair equipment during shift. Shop House Keeping - responsible for maintaining maintenance shop and tool box organized and clean Filling Out Shift Report – responsible for filling out electronically the shift report in specific issue’s or tasks completed during shift. Ordering Parts – responsible for ordering parts on QMS that get used and helping the coordinator maintain shop inventoryRequired Experience
Millwright License or equivalent experience Minimum 4 years mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing environment (food industry is highly preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures is an asset Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs is an asset Mechanical training or experience is preferred Committed to working towards a Mechanical Certification Must have a valid driver’s license Passionate about mechanical repairWhat is the recipe for a great career at FGF?
