Adecco is actively seeking a dynamic and strategic President to join our client's team and to lead an established equipment distribution firm based in Embrun, ON. This full-time role involves overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the organization while driving growth in both Canadian and U.S. markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies in alignment with the Board's vision.
  • Create and execute plans to drive growth in both Canadian and U.S. markets.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and operational excellence to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Oversee all manufacturing operations, including production, supply chain, inventory management, quality control, and R&D.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all operations.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with partners, clients, and government bodies in Canada and the U.S.
  • Spearhead efforts to expand the company's market presence and product distribution globally.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with international partners and suppliers.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve profitability targets.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure sustainable operations.
  • Promote financial accountability throughout the organization.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing executive team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
  • Lead diversity and inclusion initiatives to enhance workforce dynamics.
  • Act as the primary representative for the company with clients, partners, and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide regular reports to the Board on company performance, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with external advisors, industry groups, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment.
  • Drive initiatives to increase revenue, with regular travel across Canada and the U.S.
Requirements:
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Minimum of 8 years in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing or distribution sectors, with a strong track record of managing sales and distribution operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operational excellence, lean manufacturing principles, and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management, working closely with financial leaders.
  • Exceptional ability to inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities, particularly in global contexts.
  • Familiarity with board governance and experience reporting to a Board of Directors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent graduate degree is an asset.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment manufacturing and distribution is highly desirable.
