What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Food Store Manager, you will lead the Produce Department in a thriving store. As Produce Manager, you will oversee the Produce Team and Operations, with responsibilities that include but is not limited to:

Provide leadership to the Produce team in creating a customer experience that makes a difference in our members’ lives. Responsible for achieving the financial results and budgeted objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses, and profits within established guidelines. Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, engagement, training, and professional development of team members. Ensure standards of department presentation and operation are met including merchandising, inventory control and sanitation. Actively participate and provide subject matter expertise in the development of marketing programs, advertising and promotional activities that maximize produce sales and meet the needs of the team. Lead the safety culture of the department, including the coordination and oversight of all health and safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and have/are:

A Grade 12 Diploma; post-secondary general business education is an asset. 3+ years of leadership experience in a retail environment. An ability to handle multiple demands and can be adaptable, organized, and efficient. Customer service-focused and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do. Believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives. Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary. Can fulfill physical job requirements including extended time on one’s feet and manual labour.
