About The Position

The Sales and Marketing Assistant is directly responsible to the Director of Sales, and General Manager.  This position completes various administrative, sales and customer-related tasks in support of the Sales Team.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provide Customer Service and Administrative Support to the Sales Team (posts office correspondence)
  • Update and maintain product information, client information, Sales programs
  • Service customer relationships with email content creation and Sales communication support
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the company and all the products and services that it offers.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as requested by the Director of Sales and General Manager
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, procedures and policies.
  • Represent Staalduinen Floral Ltd. in an effective, ethical and professional manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Preferably 1 year of directly related work experience (preference may be given to those with floral industry experience)
  • Office administration or back-office support experience  
  • Experience working with inventory software and order processing systems
  • Experience with Photoshop and graphic design programs
  • Photography experience would be considered an asset
  • Intermediate to advance level of expertise with MS Office Applications
  • Must be proficient in the English language and able to communicate fluently verbally and written
  • Flexible and adaptable with sound work ethics
  • Strong organization & time management skills
  • Proven track record of working independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

  • High energy, fast paced office environment
  • Occasional travel required to visit clients and prospects
  • Due to the nature of the floral industry, longer hours may be required around holiday's
  • Due to the nature of the floral industry and its "peak seasons", vacation time off during these periods may not be approved
