Qualifications
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Three (3) year’s recent, tertiary experience in the clinical speciality of the Program, including one year’s recent experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practising registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Current CPR certification.You will also have
Strong leadership skills and independent decision making abilities. Demonstrated critical thinking skills problem solving skills. Ability to develop, prioritise and accomplish objectives. Proven conflict resolution skills. Supervisory experience in a unionised environment. Effective organisational ability. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Effective team building skills. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019). Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).What we bring
