Dietitian, Bariatric Clinic

Baccalaureate degree from a recognized university in dietetics/nutrition.
Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.
Registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC) required.
Knowledge of bariatric surgical procedures, behavior change and weight management models,
2 years recent related experience in a combination of a clinical setting, experience in an outpatient care setting, inclusive of experience in a program development and/or education support role, and experience leading and participating in quantitative and qualitative research projects, or evidence of an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid BC Driver's License required.
Skills And Abilities- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts including clients/patients and families, physicians, co-workers, other health care professionals, and other members of the health care team.
- Ability to apply effective interpersonal, organizational and teaching skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to organize workload and set priorities.
- Ability to assess learning needs, and apply the principles of program planning, implementation and evaluation
- Ability to apply the principles of adult learning in individual and group settings
- Ability to effectively use computer programs such as Microsoft Office and related technology.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
