We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator with specialized expertise in multi-family construction projects to join our team in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland area. As a Drywall Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately estimating project costs and providing valuable insights to ensure the success of our projects.

What You Will Do:

Utilize your expertise in drywall construction to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for multi-family construction projects in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for drywall construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required for drywall construction projects. Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to identify potential challenges, discrepancies, or value engineering opportunities. Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost savings without compromising quality or project integrity. Collaborate with project stakeholders to explore value engineering options and alternative construction methods to optimize project costs and efficiency. Identify and assess potential risks associated with drywall construction projects, providing proactive solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success. Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to address any concerns, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to drywall construction in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.

What You Will Bring:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall estimation, with a focus on multi-family construction projects. Proficiency in estimating software preferably On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid, as well as familiarity with other industry-standard software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite. In-depth understanding of drywall construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines. Proven ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and develop practical solutions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
