Hiring Requirements:
The Line operator provides coverage for all plant-wide relief needs. The Line operator will be assigned to cover assignments due to not limited to; vacation, illness, injuries, leave of absences and so forth. The Line operators may be required to rotate between shifts, or alternatively posted and assigned to a fixed shift, depending on the current business demands.
As a Line Operator at Bimbo Canada, you will be:
  • Set up, operate, and adjust machines
  • Check product quality and adjust as necessary
  • Clean and sanitize machinery, equipment and main processing area
  • Observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to ensure correct processing
  • Maintain shift logs and record of other data
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Company Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Actively participate in, and report all Health & Safety/Quality issues to Shift Supervisor/QA
  • At times, associates may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Additionally, standing for long periods of time, as well as walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting will be required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
  • Must possess good communication skills both verbal and written, perform basic mathematical functions 
  • Essential computer skills and/or basic knowledge
