The role:
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer who is experienced in delivering projects from their infancy to completion. As the Senior Project Engineer, you will be a driving force behind our projects. Your expertise will shape processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate product quality. This role has significant room for advancement. By working closely with senior leaders at Saltworks, you will be trained and mentored in all aspects of your career. In turn, you will gain leadership skills by developing junior engineers.

Your main tasks will include:

Managing the project lifecycle:Working with Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers to produce work packages for production.Research and qualification of new vendors and products.Working with suppliers and vendors to design and specify components used within our processes (pumps, valves, motors, filters, etc.).Supporting our internal Supply Chain and Production teams to enable project delivery.Working with our Quality Assurance team to ensure quality control processes are being followed.Supporting commissioning at our factory and at customers’ sites. Implementing repeatable designs (full scale) while improving our innovative industrial desalination and resource recovery plants with opportunities to also support innovation, pilots, and new product design. Opportunities to become a subject matter expert, enabling you to expand your technical skills, while also developing project management skills. Representing Saltworks with customers and suppliers, including field visits to both (ability to travel to the USA is essential). You will be a great fit if you have: A relevant engineering degree and ability to register as a P. Eng. with EGBC. 5-8 years of relevant working experience as an engineer or designer in an industrial setting. Track record of generating engineering deliverables in a fast-paced, industrial environment. Working knowledge and experience within specific areas of the engineering discipline, such as ASME, B31.1, pressure piping design, heat exchangers, pumps, etc. This position also requires these universal skill sets: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work well in a team-based environment.
