We are looking for an Analyst for our growing NSOC (Network & Security Operations Center) team, to provide a delightful experience to customers by helping them keep their digital environments secure as well as fully operational. The primary objective of this role is to respond in a timely manner to security related incidents and alerts as well as infrastructure related incidents and changes, as part of the day-to-day operations of the NSOC Team. The NSOC team processes tickets that are escalated from other service desk teams or created automatically by our RMM (Remote Management & Monitoring) system. These tickets include, but are not limited to, potential and confirmed compromises, vulnerability management, and NOC alerts.

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

This role is based out of our Richmond Hill office.

Reports To: NSOC Team Lead

Responsibilities

Handle tickets escalated by other service desk teams or created automatically. Communicate with clients and ensure their needs are taken care of. Document your work in a timely manner. Assist other service desk team members with security related questions and best practices. Help expand the company’s knowledgebase. Participate in NSOC on-call rotation.

Skills and Experience

Highly organized and excellent time management skills. High degree of technical knowledge and the ability to reach technical resolutions. Versed in cyber security best practices. Experience with the following networking technologies:SonicWALL firewallsFortinet Fortigate firewallsCisco switching and enterprise wireless solutions. Experience with managed Anti-Virus and EDR solutions. Experience with Email Security / Antispam solutions. Experience with RMM and/or NMS solutions. Experience with Microsoft SaaS solutions:Azure with emphasis on Azure AD.Exchange Online.Security and Compliance with emphasis on Defender for Office 365. Experience with Microsoft Windows:Server Platforms versions 2003 through 2019.Exchange Server versions 2016 and 2019.Endpoints – versions 7 through 10. Experience with Hyper-V and VMWare virtualization platforms. Experience with backup solutions. Nice to have:Experience with vulnerability management solutions – assessment, mitigation, and resolution.Experience with Microsoft Azure Sentinel and Lighthouse.
