The successful candidate willbe responsible for preparing and painting interior and exteriorsurfaces at the hotel ensuring high standards of quality andmaintaining a safe workingenvironment.

StartingRate: $38.57 perhour 

Compensation will increase everyyear on September 1st. As of September 1 2025 the rate of pay forthis position will be $39.53

JobDuties Include:

Reporting to theLead Hand Painter responsibilities and essential job functionsinclude but are not limited to thefollowing: 

 

  • Consistentlyoffer professional friendly and engagingservice 
  • Wood furniture staining andrefinishing
  • Perform painting duties followingestablished procedures and guidelines including preparing surfacesmixing and applying paint and cleaning tools andequipment
  • Ensure work areas are clean and safeand that all tools and equipment are properlymaintained
  • Assess the condition of surfaces tobe painted and recommend appropriate paints andcoatings
  • Work with other tradespeople includingcarpenters and maintenance staff to coordinate painting projectsand ensure timely completion
  • Maintain accuraterecords of work performed including time and materialsused
  • Completing work order requests for thehotel & staff accommodations
  • You willbe working in our hotel guest areas and within maintenanceprogram
  • Adhere to all health and safetypolicies and procedures and report any safety hazards or incidentsimmediately
  • Able to work flexible hoursaccording to business levels and/oremergencies 
  • Other duties asassigned

Qualifications:

Your Skills&Qualifications

  • JourneyPerson Painter certification
  • Strong knowledgeof painting techniques materials andequipment
  • Valid Canadians Drivers licence orInternational equivalent 
  • Strongattention to detail and ability to work independently or as part ofa team
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in afastpaced environment and meet deadlines
  • Manualdexterity and physical ability to lift up to 25kg
