We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Digital Business Consultant to support the team and Product Owner by acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the agile team. The successful Digital Business Consultant questions assumptions and requirements, assesses needs, finds gaps, and works closely with subject matter experts to detail requirements, features, and user stories. The role gathers and analyzes business requirements, provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, supports user acceptance testing, operational readiness, change management and post-implantation to help the Product Owners build something that is practical within existing business rules and technology limitations. The role also supports the product roll-out plan and post-implementation success measurement (, KPIs) to inform future products.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Senior Manager Digital Business Analysis, you will be empowered to:
Perform stakeholder analysis and requirements gathering sessions with key business stakeholders to establish business needs and workflows Identify and map out what technology, expertise and stakeholders are needed to pass acceptance criteria successfully. Develop and maintain business analysis artifacts (, business requirements, requirements traceability matrix, user stories, epics, use cases, edge cases, etc.) Manage testing activities using an Application Life Cycle Management Tool Identify risks, constraints, dependencies and assist in the development of roll-out plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure a successful roll-out. Support Product Owners by coordinating with internal stakeholders, SMEs and third-party vendors when needed. Help Product Owners understand business costs associated to engaging with third party vendors. Create, leverage and/or update business deliverables including but not limited to gap analysis report(s), business process models/activity diagrams ( workflows and related illustrations), flow charts and storyboards Support the Product Owners in capturing and analyzing acceptance criteria, defining metrics to track success of the team (KPIs). Support design and development teams with troubleshooting as they are building the solution. Work with Quality assurance to ensure acceptance criteria is understood and that test scenarios are built accordingly. Develop a deep understanding of current business processes and collaborate with partners within the division on continuous improvement initiatives. Support the implementation of solutions into production and work with Lab team other partners within the division to develop and implement the roll-out plan. Acts as a flexible resource to the design team to support activities such as user acceptance testing and other related activities. The role works in close collaboration with Lab team to enable planning and execution of discovery sessions, business requirements, development of business cases, writing and maintaining user documentation, drafting, and performing user acceptance (, business) testing, and supporting product roll-out plans. Knowledge & Work Experience:
Knowledge of relevant aspects of a Digital business and technology components to support requirements gathering/business casing Knowledge and experience in Agile methodology and tools preferred but not required Minimum three years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role in a medium-sized organization Previous business analyst/system analyst experience with digital teams preferred.Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and competent in conducting various types of independent analysis including skills in data collection, cleaning, and analysis and the ability to extract/ present insights and findings.
Critical Skills: Ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders. Ability to make real-time decisions and produce high quality output under strict and accelerated timelines, with demonstrated 80/20 approach to structure and solution. Effectively works in a team setting with a diverse set of SMEs and stakeholders. Ability to proactively identify business needs within the team and represent the voice of the Product Owner to SMEs without significant supervision.
