About the Role:

Reporting to the AVP, Fund Oversight, you will be managing the financial reporting, fund valuations and oversight responsibilities while interacting with various internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a team oriented individual with strong management skills and demonstrated ability to problem solve.

Your Responsibilities:

Manage the production and delivery of semi-annual and annual financial reports and management reports of fund performance in accordance with National Instruments 81-106, through working closely with service providerLiaise with external auditors to ensure that financial statements are in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, and respond to all audit related queriesReview financial statements and management reports of fund performance to ensure consistency and accuracyManage the typesetting and French translation processes of regulatory filingsPrepare board packages (IRCs, Fund Board, Audit and Advisory Committees)Assist in the review of annual prospectus filings as well as Fund FactsKeep abreast of the latest financial reporting requirements in the investment funds industryLiaise with various internal/external stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are metOversee pricing processes that support portfolio valuations and liaise with service provider in obtaining pricing and corporate action informationLiaise with investment management to obtain valuation updates as requiredManage the operations of the Valuation CommitteeOversee certain aspects of mutual fund operations, including fund valuation, financial reporting as well as fund compliance, through working closely with third party service providerImplement and perform routine review of oversight procedures to ensure the net asset values of the funds are accurateOversee the implementation of fund related policies/charters through working closely with service providerAssist with new fund product initiatives such as new fund and series launches, as well as portfolio rebalances, fund reorganizations, including mergers and terminationsOversee securities lending program to ensure the program is executed in accordance with governance frameworkOversee counterparty governance program to ensure the program is executed in accordance with governance frameworkManage and develop staffAssist in special projects as necessary

Your Qualifications:

Professional accounting designation (CPA) is requiredMinimum of six to eight years of accounting work experience related to mutual funds/financial services industryKnowledge of fund accounting and valuationsKnowledge of mutual fund compliance rules and regulationsAbility to prioritize and meet tight deadlinesAbility to work independently, quickly and under pressure in a multi-project and team environmentStrong analytical, leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of InvestOne and Bloomberg an asset
