Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated professionals who share our commitment to quality and student success.  The Faculty of Social and Community Services requires subject-matter experts to develop course materials for one or more courses in the ECE Supervision and Leadership Micro-Credential program including:

  • Financial Management in Community and Social Services
  • Human Resources Management in Community and Social Services
  • Pedagogy and Leadership
  • Understanding the Early Years Act
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the development of high-quality degree level course materials:
  1. Course outline;
  2. Course Learning Outcomes and Essential Employability Skills;
  3. Assessment criteria and timelines;
  4. Course policies;
  5. Learning plan including student learning objectives, activities and assessment dates and weighting;
  6. Course materials;
  7. Assignments with evaluation criteria and rubrics;
  8. Quizzes and tests with answer keys; and
  9. Text and/or resources selection.
The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following qualifications:
  1. A Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).
  2. A minimum of three to five years of recent (within the past three years) experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role within and early childhood education setting
  3. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level with a demonstrated understanding and application of UDL and current assessment methodologies.
  4. Understanding of the Ontario college system.
