Be our next Structural Designer
This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of water-wastewater and municipal engineering professionals. We are seeking a Structural Designer to join and work in a flexible role that includes engineering and design for various technologies within the oil, gas and chemical sector. The work will include performing complete range of design from retrofits at existing facilities to leading design team for new greenfield complexes involving creating and advancing Plant 3D model and preparing civil and structural engineering designs for fabrication and construction.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Produce structural engineering 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Smart Plant 3D, Revit and/or Cadworx software for industrial structural infrastructure such as steel racks and supports, building structures and accessories, concrete foundations, concrete and steel piles, stairs, platforms and ladders, Produce material quantity take offs Working with various CADD software including Revit, Smart Plant 3D, Cadworx The Structural Designer will work alongside more experienced engineers and designers to perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling tasks Sound understanding of the discipline’s common designs and materials Produce final civil and structural deliverable drawings Work under general supervision and complete familiar assignments and solve problems of detail or presentation without direct supervisionWhat your experience looks like
Five (5) years of structural/civil experience in heavy industrial applications Expert level knowledge of the 3D design process and preparation of construction documents Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD required Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D is highly preferred Proficiency in MS Word, Excel required Positive team player Self-motivated, detail oriented and client focused Ability to prioritize tasks, met deadlines and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once Excellent verbal and written communication skillsEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
