Structural Designer

Key Responsibilities:
As a Structural Designer at EXP, you will be responsible for producing structural engineering 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Smart Plant 3D, Revit and/or Cadworx software for industrial structural infrastructure such as steel racks and supports, building structures and accessories, concrete foundations, concrete and steel piles, stairs, platforms and ladders.
What You'll Do:
- Produce material quantity take offs
- Work with various CADD software including Revit, Smart Plant 3D, Cadworx
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling tasks
- Have a sound understanding of the discipline's common designs and materials
- Produce final civil and structural deliverable drawings
- Work under general supervision and complete familiar assignments and solve problems of detail or presentation without direct supervision
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of structural/civil experience in heavy industrial applications
- Expert level knowledge of the 3D design process and preparation of construction documents
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD required
- Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D is highly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel required
- Positive team player, self-motivated, detail oriented and client focused
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively on multiple projects at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
