Stroke Unit, Outpatient Vascular Services is responsible for theleadership and management of a 36‑bed cardiology
inpatient unit which includes the Regional Stroke Unit and a 6‑bedPCI recovery short‑stay area that supports the
Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Additionally, the role entailsmanagement of outpatient vascular services which includes
wound care and limb preservation activities including the rapidaccess vascular examination (RAVE) clinic at
TBRHSC. The Manager will be responsible and accountable forclinical practice, the development of systems that
ensure quality outcomes and will accomplish so in a fiscallyresponsible manner.
The successful candidate will foster a safe and effective workenvironment, will embrace both efficiency and
professional accountability amongst all members of their team andwill ensure that the delivery of safe, quality patient
care is their guiding principle.
The Manager will base their decisions on the mission, vision andvalues of TBHRSC, the principals of the Patient and
Family Centered Care, interprofessional collaboration, thestandards of practice for all applicable regulatory bodies
and TBRHSC policies, procedures and standards.
Employment Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will possess a Baccalaureate Degree inNursing (Master's degree preferred)
* Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with theCollege of Nurses of Ontario
* The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player withclinical expertise in medical inpatient nursing
* Previous management or leadership experience is an asset
* The ideal candidate will display a commitment to evidence‑basedpractice and possess a facilitative leadership style
* Demonstrated communication, decision making and planning skillsare essential
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written/verbalcommunication skills
* High level of self initiative and direction
* Ability to work effectively within a team setting
* Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice standards andguiding principles to foster professional
practice and accountability
* Excellent analytical skills in order to monitor, assess andimplement programs and address operational needs
* Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to interacteffectively with all team members, staff, patients, family
supports, community and provincial partners.
* Proficient in the use of computer applications such as e‑mailsystems, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, PowerPoint
and Excel
Salary Range: $57.003 to 67.062
