About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start & end times.

Hiring Location:

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About you :

You are an experienced Treasury professional who is math driven, analytical and committed to delivering exceptional results. A team player who shares information and knowledge, you thrive on working with a team to effect change and get things done. You are a forward thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset that aspires to be well rounded in all aspects of treasury.

About you / qualifications:

5 years of banking experience with extensive exposure to short term liquidity products and management  Proven track record of providing exceptional client service and achieving business plans. CFA/CPA/CA or working toward completion is a strong plus. Financial modeling skills Strong written and verbal communication skills

About the day-to-day:

The Treasury and Capital Markets (TCM) team is responsible for managing the firm’s funding and liquidity risk, market risk, balance sheet management and banking administration under certain defined parameters set by the firm’s Asset Liability Committee (ALCO). TCM is also responsible for certain structured finance/capital markets transactions to support the firm’s growth ambitions.

Manager Short Term Liquidity will take ownership for:

Driving the short-term liquidity management (LM) strategies/execution Measuring, managing, and hedging the firm’s short term liquidity risk. Managing the firm’s high-quality liquid securities (HQLA) portfolio Manage intraday liquidity requirements related to Lynx direct clearing. Work to develop and maintain settlement facilities with FIs. Cash management including daily funding and weekly cash forecasting. Implementation of short-term funding strategy, including warehouse, securities repo, mortgage repo, deposits, commercial paper Staying abreast of market/regulatory developments on interest rate and liquidity risk Supporting certain market-facing treasury and capital markets transactions Delivering technical advice/ new insights to Products/Sales Leads to support client relationship management Assisting in external and internal audits Ensuring strong risk management framework is applied to liquidity risk activities. 

Annual Compensation:

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $90,000 and $105,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
