The Role
The successful candidate for this position will help manage ongoing research projects in agriculture by coordinating study activities, implement planned project stages, and managing day-to-day administrative tasks. The Research Coordinator will be expected to liaise between project investigators, research assistants and producers. The position requires familiarity with the instrumentation field and skills to work in an agricultural setting. Current projects include Northern Regenerative Agriculture System, and Precision Agriculture Technology Adoption for Sustainable Northern Alberta farms.

Responsibilities

Manage research projects to meet expected timelines. Implement data collection plans as determined by project leads. Liaise with industry and community stakeholders to implement data collection processes, including producer interviews. Drive between research sites and participant producer’s farms to ensure smooth operation of research activities. Create and update knowledge translation media (including websites, social media). Comply with policies and procedures for responsible research at NWP and funder requirements. Maintain records for financial and research reporting.
