The Role
The successful candidate for this position will support the dissemination of applied research findings from NWP’s Technology Access Centre (TAC), the National Bee Diagnostic Centre (NBDC) and other applied research projects. NBDC is one of 64 TACs in Canada and produces highly technical work to support the agriculture and beekeeping industries nationally. As such, the Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator determines how best to meet knowledge mobilization and translation requirements and designs materials, supports processes, and plans events to meet the needs of the agricultural and beekeeping industry locally, provincially, and nationally. The Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator engages NBDC research stakeholders, other researchers, and the public by sharing accurate, relevant, and timely information. The role works with internal and external partners to ensure applied research knowledge is shared, accessible, and impactful.

Responsibilities

Write, design, and edit publication materials highlighting research findings from the TAC and other applied research. Design different products/materials/collateral to facilitate knowledge exchange with beekeeping and agricultural industries, among others. Plan and implement research outreach and knowledge exchange events. Evaluate knowledge mobilization capacity and impact and tailor plans as needed. Manage and develop applied research social media engagement plans. Work with research teams to identify opportunities for public engagement and knowledge translation in line with funder requirements.
