Position Profile

We are seeking a Stores Person to join our Stores team in Sidney, BC. The Stores Person will maintain designated functions within the logistics and/or materials team. Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and/or M&L Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Safely meeting Viking Air company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions. Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders. Verifying orders. Shipping material as per order direction and/or Vikings Routing Guide. Shipping interbranch transfers (IBT). Coordinate and/or support logistics requirements. Processing all required documentation (FORM 1, Pro Forma, Customs Documents, RMA etc.). Safely operate stand up reach truck and/or counterbalance forklift. Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE). Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by chargehand and/or manager.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma. 2-5 years experience in international shipping. 2+ years experience shipping Dangerous Good. Forklift/reach truck certification. Experienced in MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel) & ERP system.
