Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Meraki Network Technician to support a critical network device refresh project. This role will involve the complete refresh of all routers and switches within our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Meraki networking equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Device Refresh:
    • Lead and execute the refresh of all network devices, including routers and switches, across multiple locations.
    • Install, configure, and deploy new Meraki networking equipment to replace outdated devices.
    • Ensure seamless integration of new devices into the existing network infrastructure with minimal disruption to operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper network design and configuration during the refresh process.
    • Perform device staging, configuration, and testing before deployment to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Meraki network devices during and after the refresh.
    • Monitor and analyze network performance post-deployment to ensure smooth operation.
    • Provide on-site and remote technical support to address any issues encountered during the project.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of device inventory, configurations, and network topology changes.
    • Create and update network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Generate regular progress reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Compliance & Best Practices:
    • Ensure that all network deployments adhere to industry best practices and security standards.
    • Collaborate with the network security team to implement necessary security measures on all newly deployed devices.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest Meraki features, firmware updates, and security patches.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Meraki networking equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
  • Proven experience in network device refresh or upgrade projects.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Meraki devices, including the Meraki Dashboard.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture and network management.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools.
  • Cisco CCNA or Meraki CMNA certification.
  • Experience with other Cisco networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with network security practices, including firewall configurations and VPN setup.
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to travel to different locations if required for on-site deployments
