About the Job:

The Registered Nurse:
•Provides nursing care to Long-term Care patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
•Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
•Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
•Maintains and advances own clinical competence
•Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned

This is a RELIEF PART-TIME (0.87 FTE) OPPORTUNITY until September 9, 2024 or the return of the incumbent.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days; rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 07:00 to 17:00 hours.

About this location/unit:

Bastion Place is a multi-level care facility built in 1991 and currently has a total of 80 beds: 60 are private rooms, two 2 bed wards and three 4 bed wards. Included are 3 palliative care beds, 7 convalescent care beds, 3 booked respite beds. Our client-centred philosophy is designed to support clients’ choices, help people function at their highest level and provide the best quality of life possible.
