THE POSITION
The position of education consultant encompasses, in particular, responsibility for providing advice and support to staff of educational institutions and services in the implementation, development and evaluation of programs of study, class management and instructional materials.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the application of rules of sanction de études in the schools of the Central Quebec School Board;
- Handle communications with the Direction de la sanction des études;
- Ensure compliance with the Sanction des études calendar of operations and publications;
- Ensure the distribution of information from the Direction de la sanction des études;
- Coordinate the administration of exams in accordance with established rules;
- Ensure the confidentiality of Ministerial exams;
- Ensure the transmission of sanctioned studies data to the MEQ;
- Manage all aspects of the home schooling file;
- Provide information and support to parents, including a graduation plan;
- In collaboration with the Complementary Services Coordinator, organize complementary services as needed;
- Organize and support ministerial and local evaluations;
- Act as liaison between the school board and the Direction de l'enseignement à la maison (DEM);
- Is responsible of reporting;
- Participate in provincial meetings related sanction des études and home schooling (Anglophone table, Francophone table, ministerial committees);
- Oversee other files as required.
