General Summary:

We are looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team; supporting processes in welding, injection molding and assembly. Must support the manufacturing areas and maintain the overall Toyota Production System with focus on minimizing down time, increasing productivity, launch activities and performing preventative maintenance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support manufacturing processes, including injection molding, robotics, frame welding, seat assembly, IR ovens, presses and door panel assembly
  • Performing preventive maintenance activities
  • Recommending technical solutions
  • Internal and external departmental communication
  • Effective troubleshooting
  • Carry out Kaizen projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings and machine specifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed Industrial Electrician
  • Must be able to work in a multi-skilled environment with maintenance aptitude to learn skills other than area of expertise
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as a strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Bi-weekly shift rotation (days & afternoons, weekend) and overtime
  • Knowledge of the Toyota Production System would be an asset
  • Three to five years of experience in preventative maintenance, continuous improvement (Kaizen) and breakdown maintenance in an industrial setting
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Dual ticket (Electrician & Millwright) with PLC programming experience is preferred

Wages:

  • $45.87 per hour as a starting rate.
  • $46.65 after six months of employment.
  • $47.43 after one year of employment.
  • $48.99 after two years of employment.
  • $50.60 after three years of employment.
  • A $2.00 shift premium is added when working the afternoon shift.
  • A $1.05 - dual ticket
  • Overtime time is paid 1.5 times your regular wage after 40 hours each week.

***Shifts in the maintenance department are around 10 hours long. Due to business demands, the amount of overtime and the shift end times vary.
