Payroll and Benefits Specialist

S3 Group Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team at our offices in Swift Current, SK. This is a full-time position starting immediately, which offers great compensation and a lot of room for growth to be a payroll Manager.

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, the ideal candidate should have a well-rounded background in payroll, benefits and HR as well as strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. The Payroll, Benefits Specialist manages all aspects of the company's bi-weekly payroll, administers the employee benefits program, and prepares annual T4 and WCB filings. Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Manage timekeeping systems for both payroll and costing
- Process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian entities, including appropriate remittances and reconciliations and Prepare monthly payroll metrics reports for management
- Prepare annual T4s and WCB filings
- Administer employee benefits programs and manage absence tracking system
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Ensure quality, as outlined in our Quality Manual, is inherent in all tasks performed
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years' experience in business preferably with multiple payrolls.
- Preference given to candidates with Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable interacting with all employees.
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel & Word
- Positive and cooperative team player and capable of working with minimal supervision and proven confidentiality.
