Who You Are

We're looking for a Talent Generalist to provide comprehensive support for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and other Talent projects and initiatives. You have a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting a positive workplace culture.

You are a motivated self-starter, proactive, and resourceful with a passion for continuous learning the Human Resources discipline. 

What You'll Do

Provide full-cycle support to Talent Business Partners/assigned business units in HR projects and initiatives including Retention, Onboarding, Offboarding, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits. Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports. Maintain accuracy in internal employee data within our system UKG/UltiPro by updating employee data, records, and auditing reports. Manage the recruitment process including creation of job postings, coordinating with managers and hiring. Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and regulations. Provide guidance, policy interpretation and support to employees on issues of employee relations, employment laws and regulations and organizational programs and procedures, etc. Participates in various projects and continuous improvement within the Talent Team, executing on tasks such as research and compiling of information to improve HR processes and practices. Act as advocates for employees to ensure fair performance reviews and support in development plans. Work closely with leaders and the Talent Team to ensure that all business groups are appropriately resourced and prepared to support business objectives. Prepare required reports and documentation to support Talent projects and initiatives. Provides back up and support for the Talent Coordinator position. Provide support with benefits and disability.

 What You'll Bring

Diploma or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources as an Advisor or Generalist. Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices. Sound knowledge of provincial employment standards legislation, human rights, health and safety legislation. Broad experience in policy and legislation interpretation, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or oil field environment would be preferred. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Familiarity with HRIS such as UKG is a plus. This role entails the individual working at our factory location for a standard 5-day workweek.
