The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Shop Planner is responsible for the daily operation within the Fleet Services function of our Yellowknife Terminal. In this role, you are expected to deliver on your objectives while supporting the Terminal in achieving necessary results. The successful applicant should possess mechanical knowledge of highway tractors and trailers.
About the position:
Planning, organizing, and scheduling all aspects of maintenance including regular preventative maintenance. Coordinating calls, emails, scheduling planner, manager the PO system, and track and manage costs Regularly auditing partner vendor quotes, and completed repairs to ensure quality maintenance that is consistent and aligned with our company standards Being aware and responsible for ensuring Health and Safety standards are adhered to in order to maintain a safe and productive workplace Responsible for communicating and coordinating with Operations and customers for any equipment repairs. Involved in maintenance and general up-keep of the facilities and applicable properties Being innovative and open minded to new philosophies and ideas to improve any processes necessary to make the maintenance as effective and efficient as possibleWhat you bring:
2 years’ experience in a similar role Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance and possessing an understanding of maintenance programs Highly energetic person with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of standard repair times within maintenance industry Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic and confident with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work Ability to maintain a professional and respectful composure in challenging situations Excellent customer service skill with ability to clearly communicate Good understanding of Microsoft Office products A solid business presence complimented by personal drive, resourcefulness, maturity, integrity, honesty and sound business judgementWhat’s in it for you:
