Reporting to the Manager of Emergency Services, you will beresponsible for providing quality nursing care to

patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes arenot predictable. As part of a multidisciplinary

health care team, you will practice within the ProfessionalStandards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the

Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission, vision,Values and the policies of Thunder Bay Regional

Health Sciences Centre.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

* Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with theCollege of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to

become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario

* Current certification in BCLS

* Recent experience in Emergency Nursing with experience in thecare of complex patient populations, including, but

not limited to: triaging patients, care of multiple traumapatients

* Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his

basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery

* Collaborates and provides consult to Registered Practice Nurse'swhen patients assigned to the RPN become

unstable or have outcomes that are not as expected

* Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate action

* Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions

* Strong interprofessional and communication skills

* Central Venous Line Management

* Certification or completion Lead II Arrhythmia InterpretationProgram

In addition to the above qualifications, preference will be givento applicants who:

* Have a certification, or recent continuing education inEmergency Nursing

* Current certifications in TNCC, PALS, ENC(C), and ACLS

* SADV training

Salary Range: $39.070 to 56.000
