Using a systems thinking approach the Clinical Nurse Leader coordinates staffing coverage and provides clinical supervision, guidance and support to the nursing and support staff within the Neonatal Program, consistent with established policies, standards of practice, and philosophy at BC Women’s Hospital.

What you bring
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three (3) years recent experience in Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care and related experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.You will also have:
Demonstrated relationship building skills and ability to participate as an effective member of the interdisciplinary care team. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to patients and their families. Demonstrated ability to initiate, facilitate, and manage change. Demonstrated ability to act as a professional role model. Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system. Supports team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level. Works collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically. Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019). Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).What we bring
