Your future role on our team

We’re looking for someone who’sready to take on challenges in contract management for onsite constructionmandates. Preferably experienced in construction contract administration,you’ll need to have had onsite experience to understand the issues andcontractual workings of an industrial project. As a member of a constructionmanagement team, you’ll represent the owner's interests by following up oncommercial construction contracts signed with contractors. Manage the follow-up process for changes related to the contracts with contractors under your responsibility. Monitor and document all contractual and commercial site activities. Bridge the gap between decisions taken on site and their contractual and legal consequences. Support technical site supervisors and the construction manager in managing changes on site and prepare supporting documentation. Negotiate chargebacks and contract disputes. Develop and manage the bidding process for construction contracts, serving as a liaison among engineering, procurement, construction management and the client.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

At least 10 years of experience on site; relevant experience in administration or change management an asset Participation in one or more construction management teams, preferably in the heavy industry sector Knowledge of typical contract conditions and legal principles Mobility and availability for mandates outside major cities for periods of six months to two years Ability to identify contractual weaknesses and prevent or remedy them Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients, engineers and contractors Ability to lead meetings and negotiations and to document discussions and decisions diligently Perfectly fluent in French, both spoken and written Asset: Fluent in English, both spoken and written Asset: Onsite mandate management with contractors and construction experience
