Job Title: Senior Contracts Specialist
Job Location: 13460 Lockwood Road, Houston, TX 77044

Responsibilities include: Protect the contractual and commercial interests of the company in respect of the project in all of its activities and transactions, ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to. Pursue and maximize commercial opportunities as well as issue project reports accurately that shall reflect the current commercial status of the project and the likely outcome at completion. Provides leadership, guidance and mentoring to Contracts Specialists and Graduates within the Legal & Contracts function. Ensures Governance of commercial policies, processes and procedures to ensure that all commercial activities are executed in strict compliance with TechnipFMC’s Group operating principles, standards and values. Responsible for contract administration of allocated projects, dealing with all commercial and contract activities associated with Client contract and all associated subcontract and supplier requirements, from project start-up through to contract close-out. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the US.

You are meant for this job if:

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Legal Studies, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Contract Specialist related occupation.

Experience leading commercial strategic discussions to identify and mitigate risks. Experience preparing contract synopses, contract reviews, and contract obligations matrixes. Experience preparing, interfacing with involved functions, and negotiating claims against clients, joint-venture partners, and subcontractors. Experience preparing and reviewing proposals to instigate formal dispute resolution relating to Construction All Risk (CAR) insurance. Experience with Financial Forecasting, Tax Liabilities, and Administration of bank bonds. Experience mitigating contract, legal, commercial, and insurance issues related to subcontractors or major suppliers, with a particular focus to ensure flow down of Client contract terms to subcontractors. Experience managing claims/disputes with suppliers. 

Wage Offered: $128,000.00 per year
