1st/2nd/3rd Year Apprentice Welder

POSITION SUMMARY

Apprentice welders required for a pipe fabrication shop along with modular assembly located in Crossfield working with spools ranging from ¾” to 48” in diameter. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. POSITION DETAILS Based out of our Crossfield fabrication facility Shift is Monday to Friday 10 hour days CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist with pipe spool fit up Assist journeypersons with rigging and hoisting of spools Pipe cutting and end prep of pipe Bring material to fitters Assist welders with spool set up QUALIFICATIONS Education Must be a registered 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing Able to lift 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors
