Your Opportunity:
Alberta Health Services is looking to fill a Maintenance Worker I role at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. As a Maintenance Worker I, the primary responsibilities include the groundskeeping and external maintenance of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, as well as multiple other sites located within Red Deer, including our corporate office building, community health centers, and other patient care sites.The work will include grounds and lawn maintenance, collection and disposal of garbage and debris, snow and ice removal, sanding, cleaning of work areas and grounds shop, and minor maintenance to grounds equipment. Work may also include assisting other maintenance workers and tradespersons in our department as needed. If you enjoy working outdoors, independently or part of a small team, and are committed to providing quality service and workmanship then you may be an excellent fit for our team. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in:Groundskeeping or landscaping.Commercial Driving and it's requirements.Trailer Towing.Cargo Securement.Operating skid steer, ride on tractors, and ride on mowers.Push mowers, backpack blowers, hand tools.This position is for permanent full-time employment.We are looking forward to your application.
Description:
As a Maintenance Worker I, you may perform routine tasks related to grounds keeping and facility maintenance. Working independently and/or as part of team, you may maintain lawns, flowerbeds, trees and shrubs, collect and dispose garbage, remove snow and ice, spread salt and sand, clean mechanical rooms and shop areas, and assist tradespeople and other maintenance staff as needed.
Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence.
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Groundskeeping or landscaping experience.Commercial Driving experience.Trailer Towing experience.Cargo Securement experience.Skid steer, ride on tractors, and ride on mower experience.
