What You'll Do Here:
Abrasive blasting on tanks, vessels and pipeline projects. Spray and/or roller application of industrial coatings on industrial materials. Assist supervisors in field operations as required. Troubleshooting issues with field sandblast unit, compressor, blastpot, hose, etc. Select appropriate coating and mix as per manufacturers specifications. Testing the atmosphere and paint/coating thicknesses and filling out the required documentation. Holiday testing when required and filling out the proper documentation. Coordinate with onsite client representatives. Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment. Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance. Work in a safe and conscientious manner.What You Bring to the Team:
2+ years of directly related work experience operating various types of equipment. NACE Level 2 is required Red Seal Painter certification is considered an asset. Experience with sandblasting and bristle blasting preferred. Experience running a plural component pump or an airless spray pump an asset. Experience applying 100% solids epoxy coatings preferred. Experience with HV and LV holiday testing. Must be adept with two-part epoxies, zinc coatings, high temperature coatings, surface prep to all SPC surface prep classes. Requires thorough knowledge of lead abatement methods, protections, and testing for workers. Requires close attention to detail.-
