Your Opportunity:

This MRT II position performs CT and General examinations in the busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chinook Regional Hospital. Close collaboration with technical staff, nursing, patients, physicians, supervisor and management is required.

Description:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience working in a hospital setting as a Gen Rad and/or CT Technologist is required. Excellent technical skills and knowledge is required. Knowledge with regards to radiation safety required. Good work ethic and demonstrated positive attitude necessary. Must have excellent organizational, communication, computer and interpersonal skills. Ability to assume responsibility, work effectively independently and within a team. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Must be able to demonstrate interest in professional growth. Excellent perception, initiative, judgment and concern for detail and accuracy required. Demonstrated tact, courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff and Physicians. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

GR and CT experience is preferred. CT courses I, II, III would be an asset. CTIC Certification preferred. IV certification preferred.
