About the Role:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager role entails leading manufacturing operations to drive efficiencies, enhance quality, and oversee key functions that directly impact business performance. This position goes beyond daily management by focusing on the implementation of long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals, improving processes, and achieving measurable results in production, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Optimize operations:

Develop and execute strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve production targets while ensuring operational excellence

Manage supply chain & logistics:

Oversee procurement, inventory, and logistics to guarantee timely and cost-effective product flow, ensuring end-to-end efficiency

Ensure quality assurance:

Implement and maintain high-quality standards, proactively collaborating to prevent and resolve issues, and championing continuous improvement initiatives

Provide team leadership:

Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement through mentoring and effective communication

Drive process improvement:

Leverage data and key metrics to enhance processes, align operational performance with company objectives, and ensure continuous growth and scalability

Facilitate collaboration:

Work cross-functionally with other departments to align operational strategies with overall business goals, ensuring cohesive execution

Manage costs effectively:

Develop and oversee budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, safety, or production goals

Job Qualifications and Tools:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (Very Important)
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership roles such as Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Plant Manager (Very Important)

Skills:

  • Leadership and cross-functional team management (Very Important)
  • Expertise in Lean manufacturing and process improvements (Very Important)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Important)
  • Cost management and budgeting proficiency (Important)

Tools and Software Applications:

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, NetSuite, or other similar platforms (Very Important)
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting (Very Important)
  • Experience with data analytics tools (Somewhat Important)
  • Preferred certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or related process improvement methodologies (Important)
