**Manufacturing Manager Leading to Plant Manager**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- **Production Excellence**: Ensure daily production attainment, Safety, quality, and on-time delivery targets, exceeding expectations.
- **Operational Optimization**: Identify and resolve operational challenges, optimizing the utilization of human, material, and mechanical resources to meet daily production goals.
- **Labour Planning**: Develop short and long-term labor plans aligning with customer requirements and the annual business plan.
- **Training and Skill Development**: Identify training gaps and develop comprehensive training plans to enhance the skills of the hourly workforce, ensuring flexibility in labor operations.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Lead, promote, and sustain Continuous Improvement efforts to elevate the plant to a world-class manufacturing facility.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with engineering, quality, and materials management teams to drive continuous improvements and optimize production performance.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise, mentor, and coach production supervisors to ensure daily production, employee performance, communication, and health & safety priorities are met.
- **Maintenance Support**: Support and sustain maintenance improvements in quality, Safety, and up-time, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- **Strategic Leadership**: Lead positive production and value-stream operating changes to optimize workplace safety, efficiency, productivity, and cost.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Preferably Post-secondary education in engineering, engineering technology, or a related discipline.
- **Experience**: Progressively responsible manufacturing and supervisory experience in the Transportation Equipment Industry.
- **Communication Skills**: Superior communication skills with the ability to teach, motivate, and develop individuals within the position's scope.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical and personal computer skills. Health and safety certification is an asset.
