partner staffing on behalf of our Client we are seeking a skilled Electrical Construction Supervisor to lead and oversee electrical construction activities for municipal water and wastewater projects in Edmonton, AB. This role involves managing all aspects of electrical construction, ensuring compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and timelines while delivering quality results.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise electrical construction activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
  • Monitor project schedules and milestones, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate and oversee electrical contractors, technicians, and other site personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Review and interpret electrical designs, drawings, and specifications (e.g., single-line diagrams, MCC layouts, and control systems).
  • Ensure proper installation of cable trays, conduits, lighting, and instrumentation systems.
  • Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure all work complies with project quality standards and client requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to address technical concerns and project updates.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal, Journeyperson Electrician Certification or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction supervision.
  • Proven track record in municipal water/wastewater projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and integration.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
