You as a Safety Coordinator /Administrator will:
Be responsible for safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/injury reports Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escalate issues to resolution Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them Organizing and registering all company safety training Maintaining the internal database for all safety documents and records Organizing and processing FLHA’s and inspections Supporting the Field Safety Coordinators administratively as well as performing additional general administrative duties (data entry, filing, etc.)Is this the right role for you?
3 - 5 years’ experience working as a Health and Safety Administrator, within the construction industry. NCSO designation would be an asset Experience with safety software would be an asset You have Standard or Advanced First Aid You are working towards, or are already certified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a large scale construction site You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations Extremely proficient administrative skills, with a high degree of quality in regards to; attention to detail, organization and time management skills Proficient and competent in the operation of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointEllisDon is proud to provide this unique career opportunity that provides continuous learning, opportunity for growth, and a competitive compensation package within an environment that is committed to inclusion and respects diversity.
