YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

:

Reporting to the Senior Mechanical General Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the mine mechanical maintenance area, to ensure that maintenance work is performed in the safest and most cost-effective manner in compliance with expected standards and regulations. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Supervise and coordinate the mechanical crew to ensure work is performed correctly, safely and on time with minimal impact on mine productivity; Supervsie Millwrights who are responsible for the hoists, loading pockets, pumping systems, compressors, rock breakers, etc; Hold weekly safety/communication meetings with crew; Support and direct lead hands in crew line ups; Ensure crews are trained to work in a safe, productive and environmentally sound manner; Inspect work to identify training needs; Supervise and manage performance in step with set KPI’s including planned and responsive maintenance & shutdowns; Ensure production and maintenance KPI's are attained (availability, throughput, schedule compliance, costs); Motivate and instruct all crew members when possible; Review and sign off work-orders in SAP/CMMS; Communicate with other departments personnel to plan and schedules maintenance work; Assist in revising programs, procedures, parts, systems, etc; All other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Certified Millwright; 5 years work experience, preferably in the area of mine hoist plants; Supervisor & Underground Common Core Modules; Working knowledge of CCMs program, SAP, look up parts, generate work orders, etc; Joint Health & Safety training; Previous leadership experience is considered an asset; Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
